About Goutez!

What is Goutez! ?
Goutez! is a market place for food and beverages. Users buy directly from producers and food or beverage producers sell directly to users, without having to involve any retailer. Goutez! is also a community where you can get and give inspiration and feedback, interact with others, exchange your ideas with people who share the same passion for food and beverages as you. Goutez! is about people and their products: it is a place where you can discover original and quality products as well as the people who have a passion to create and to share their creations.

What can I do on Goutez! ?
As a food and beverage lover you can buy quality and original products directly from the producers.
If you are producing food or beverages as a professional, a semi-professional, or as an individual or if you are offering original and unique food or beverages you can create your own shop on Goutez and sell your products. As a registered user or merchant you can also interact with other community members, comment on or rate products and exchange ideas with people who have the same passion as you. You can always search or browse for products, discover the people behind the products, read their blogs, profiles and explore their region of origin on the map. Perhaps you want to visit them?

How can I find products on Goutez! ?
You can either browse for products by exploring the categories or by following tags or you can search directly for products by entering a keyword.

Creating a profile on Goutez!
At Goutez! both users and merchants can create a profile. On your profile you can upload a picture of yourself, tell something about yourself, store the products and people you love or want to share with others, create your own journal and upload pictures, e.g. you and the products you bought, and many more.

Making friends on Goutez!
Goutez! is a place to make new friends as there are lots of people who have the same hobby or passion for food and beverages as you. Simply add a user to your pinboard to make him part of your friends list.

My Pinboard on Goutez!
On your pinboard you can store everything you like. You can use your pinboard as a wish list, or to store your favorite products and people. To see what is on your pinboard simply go to My Goutez! and select My Pinboard from the sub navigation.

Giving comments
At Goutez! we want everybody to participate. Even if you’re not buying or selling you can contribute by leaving comments to producer's products or profiles. Tell them if and what you like about their creations. Why should you do that? Because we all like compliments!

Communicating with others
On Goutez! you can communicate with all other members, users and merchats. You can send messages, post comments to items, blog entries and people's profiles. In order to communicate with others we ask you to register first.

Registration
Before being able to buy stuff or to communicate with others we ask you to register first. We ask you to indicate your user name, a valid email address and a password. We then send a confirmation email to the address you indicated and ask you to click on the link so that we can be sure your email address is valid. Please choose your user name carefully, as for security reasons you cannot change it later.

Registration for Merchants
If you want to sell on Goutez! you first need to complete the standard registration as described above. We then ask you for the following information: your first and last name, your address and your payment details. After that you can start to create your shop and to list your items. To create a shop you need a shop title, description of your shop and the payment methods you accept. After that you can start listing your items.

I didn’t receive a confirmation email
If you didn’t receive a confirmation email please verify on the website if the spelling of your email address is correct. If it isn’t you can correct the spelling and we then send another email to the address indicated. If the spelling is correct but you still do not receive an email please check the Spam folder of your email provider or send us an email.

I forgot my password
If you cannot remember your password please follow the link “Forgotten Password?".

For security reasons you cannot change your user name on Goutez!. As all major online market places Goutez! has a feedback system where buyers and merchants rate each to make buying and selling more transparent and secure. Before purchasing an item from a merchant or shipping an item to a user you can look at their feedback score to find out if you are dealing with a reliable and faithful person or if there have been problems in the past. As the feedback system is related to user names it is not possible to change user names later.

I want to delete my Goutez! account
If you want to unsubscribe from Goutez! please send us an email indicating your user name and email address you used for registration. We will then delete your account.

Newsletters and notifications
Goutez! sends you a notification email each time one of your items is sold, you purchase an item or you receive a new message or comment. You can also choose to receive SMS notifications.

Goutez! is an online market place where buyers and merchats are dealing directly with each other. In order to make shopping an enjoyable and secure experience we verify sellers and have established a feedback system where buyers and sellers give each other feedback about the shopping process. Before purchasing an item from a seller or shipping an item to a user you can look at the feedback score to find out if you are dealing with a reliable and faithful person or if there have been problems in the past. When you buy or sell an item it is therefore important that you leave a short comment saying if you are satisfied with the product you received, the shipping, payment, etc..

Reporting disputes
Please notify us if you have encountered a problem either in buying or selling something or if somebody is annoying you by leaving comments or sending messages that do not correspond to Goutez!’s principles. We will then work on resolving the issue quickly.
